February-- The Slow Burn

Slow and steady wins the race
Over the past few months, we’ve worked with hundreds of local businesses in the Bay Area and almost all of them have shared with us how hectic the day to day can be.
Within that hustle and bustle, it’s easy to forget sometimes that you have to let people know that you exist so that they can go and support you as a customer!
That’s why in this edition we’re featuring Pobbles campaigns that have benefitted from the slow burn, going viral weeks after it’s been posted and showing how impactful having engaging content on your socials can be in the long run.
Read on to find out what they’re doing that you might not be!

THE ROUNDUP
A spotlight of the best local marketing campaigns that businesses just like yours ran on Pobbles. Here you can see what worked, which up and coming local creators have been going viral, and as always, how you can replicate the success you see here by using our platform.

San Francisco Upscale Fusion Restaurant | Creator: Farrah
Overview: A new upscale fusion cuisine restaurant opened in SF and has been trying to add more content to their IG page. They leveraged the help of some local creators and have been drumming up consistent awareness since!
Results: The content did moderately well when first posted, generating ~8,000 views in the first week. Four weeks later though, the same video started to blow up and today is closing in on 50,000 views! More excitingly, they went from 200 shares to over 1600 and have seen business ramping up
Key tactics: As a business owner, having beautiful and engaging content representing you will never hurt— and in certain cases like this one, can even come back to give you a big boost! Make sure that you’re using the IG pinning feature to highlight three of the best reels or photos that represent your business

Mini Golf w/ Local Beers | Creator: Heather
Overview: A mini golf company was looking to highlight that they also have bites and local beers. They had their partnered creator create several very short clips and posted them over the course of two weeks. By having their partnered creator post several short clips of her having fun, they ended up successfully showing how engaging their mini golf was—something echoed repeatedly in the comments.
Results: While their content generated close to 8,000 views from locals, the discussion in the comments was far more interesting. People kept remarking how fun the activity looked, and tagging/sharing with their friends that they wanted to go with. It almost served as a reminder to people to go mini golfing again who hadn’t been in a while!
Key tactics: With how busy daily life is, it can be really difficult to stay top of mind— even for people who know you exist! Having a creator visit once and post multiple very short clips instead of one longer, higher quality short video can be very effective if you’re looking to remind your customers to visit, rather than announcing a specific message

Neighborhood Thai Restaurant | Creator: Jenny
Overview: This neighborhood Thai restaurant was looking to create a piece of very high quality content that all future visitors to their IG page can see and be impressed by— almost like a movie trailer for their food to incentivize catering offers
Results: While this video did not generate a lot of views, it was very effective in hitting the goal of the business and has resulted in several catering inquiries from local offices
Key tactics: Make sure your product looks good— people are visual first! By investing in a piece of high quality content, they can now not just impress visitors who are checking their IG page out, but also actively send this out to create valuable catering opportunities
